Oh what a dandy time for a tee.

Dandelion clocks blowing in the wind at the beginning of Summer, make a wish as you blow, or tell the time by the number it takes to scatter the seeds. This 'Dandy Time' Tee prototype sewn on a new organic Fruit of the loom tee is heading south for my Mum who has long since been a believer in useful weeds and herbal treats.

Löwanzahn is the German name for Dandelion haven't managed to find it in the 12 mths living in Berlin, and just the other week a lovely friend brought me some from Switzerland it tastes like licorice sweet and honey coloured decoction.

Shown above, Dandy Time 2009. Thanks Cara xx, oh how did I miss the daylight when it's light until 10pm!

Casino Tee makes a come back.

It's time to remake the casino tee, originally I cut the bottom hem of an upside down T in a distinct curve from the armpit down chopping off the old neck band and shoulder seam. I have left more length and think the cutout arm pits are an interesting feature, I tried some stripping fabric to cover the curve of the old neck line but it's abit fun too left deconstructed ..... certainly have options to play with!

Skirt shown in photo above is my old favourite from Sydney designers 'Red Ruby'.

be calm, my stitched and flaming heart

What a brilliant way to show off rediscovered old tattoo designs. I have never been into getting tattooed but if i could have this type textile semi 3D tat i think i would get one, or perhaps i should call them patch and strap tat's.

What a great project, recreating dreams from paper.

Ah I hope to catch the artist Yingmei Duan in performance at the HWK InTransit festival, to see her work Rubbish City which is a theme close to my eye and practice.

Coinki-dinks fast ... slow fashion.

Brilliant Berlin you have done it again. Here's a green fashion event - where everyone is welcome to bring and swap your clothes and remake them on the spot called FASHION RELOADED July 4th. The kindred sewers known as Pamoyo behind the event seem to have a similar tangent to me anit fast fashion, go green, go slow fashion.
